For those of you that may not know my wife and I, here is a little bit about us!!
I grew up in southern Alabama on a small family farm. Through high school I worked on our farm as well as several of the larger cattle operations around the area. After graduation, I attended Auburn University and received a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the College of Agriculture. While attending Auburn, I worked for a stocker/backgrounder operation that maintained about 2000 head. I also worked at the University's Beef Teaching Unit and the BCIA Bull Test Facility. After graduating from Auburn, I took a position with the College of Veterinary Medicine as a Veterinary Technician. I have had the distinct privilege of knowing and working with some of the best vets in the country. Luckily, I was able to marry one of them. I received UGC certification for carcass ultrasound in June of 2007, and I have traveled all over the southeastern US providing artificial insemination services for the better part of 10 years.
Misty grew up in central Alabama on a cow/calf and hay operation. She attended Auburn University and received a degree in Microbiology and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating vet school, she worked in a mixed-animal practice in Alabama for a couple of years and then returned to Auburn for a residency in Theriogenology (animal reproduction). She completed her residency and received her Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences and is currently a board-certified Theriogenologist. After her residency, she took a position with the vet school at Auburn as an assistant professor and clinician in the Food Animal Section of the Large Animal Teaching Hospital.
Our newest addition is Wyatt. He was born in February of 2008 and is truly a blessing. Young Wyatt keeps us pretty busy, but it is definitely worth it.
